Getting here

  • By Road: Travelling by car or coach allows you to explore Lincolnshire at your own pace. From the South, and West you can enter Lincolnshire via the A1& A46 respectively and from the North you can access the county via the M180 – heading down the A15 to get to the city.

Purcell // The Fairy Queen - 29 October, 7.30pm

Director Thomas Guthrie recreates the enchanted world of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as seen through the eyes of Victorian painter Richard Dadd. This joyous production includes dancers and acrobats alongside singers.

Handel // Flavio - 30 October, 7.30pm

Two pairs of star-crossed lovers are trapped in the bitter rivalry between their families against the background of a corrupt sensuous court. A rarely-performed jewel of the 18th century, performed in lavish period costume.

Handel // Xerxes - 31 October, 7.30pm

A new production of Handel’s opera that recasts the Persian king Xerxes as a glamorous prince-turned-pilot in the Battle of Britain. Including some of Handel’s mist celebrated music, such as the well-known aria ‘Ombra mai fu’.

The Automobile Association (AA) has worked in partnership with the National Churches Trust to publish Exploring Britain’s Churches & Chapels, a practical and inspirational guide to churches and chapels across England, Wales and Scotland. Due to be published on 31st October 2011, the Guide includes over 870 of the most inspiring of these buildings, and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
